Just testing the waters for now:

Taylor custom frame, steel, dark blue. 59cm TT virtual, 58.5 actual. HT is 19.5cm. ST is 60cm C-T. No dents, or serious cosmetic blemishes.

I was thinking $300. Let me know how this sounds. I can take more pics if there's interest.

How large of a tire will fit back there?

I think 28 should fit in there without a problem, but I could try and let you know.

I've added more pics. They show the paint chips on the frame, in the interest of full visual disclosure.

Since the price seems fair, I'll make it official: $300 + shipping to CONUS.

Great deal, if space was not at such a premium I'd buy it and stick it on a hook. Too many road frames right now.

Good luck with the sale. The steel looks so clean under the paint chips, I'd put a magnet on it to see if it's really stainless, then I'd quadruple the asking price.

Is this still available? I was going to buy and had an agreed upon price- but I don't get a response from the seller. I had to attend to a blown pipe in my house that kept me off the forum for a few days, but I'm still very interested in the bike.

I'm loving this! You disappear for two days after offering to pay, and I don't say anything. But when I don't respond to your email on the same day, you are up in arms already.

Be patient. I am waiting on another potential buyer now and will let you know if the frame is available soon.

Sorry - I had a pipe burst in my house. All you have to do is send your email address and the bike is sold. Let me know. I'm in Iowa City, which should make shipping easier.

Thanks

If you had provided an email address to begin with, you would have had the bike sold yesterday (when I returned to the forum). It's that easy. I agreed to buy and we agreed on a price. I'm not up in arms, just wondering if you're really selling this frame at all.

My man, not trying to get into the middle of the "deal" you thought you had, but tsarpepe is a good forum member and it is not appropriate to call him out and it is poor form to hijak his thread like this. Take it offline and work it out. If he doesn't want to sell it to you, which I wouldn't want to now, move on.

Sorry that I offended the manners police. I was just being honest and trying to buy a frame. Have a good ride.

Apology accepted and no hard feelings remain. When you spend some more time on the forum, you will see that there is no manners police. There are simple rules of conduct, which eventually become second nature. Have a nice ride!

An update on the tubing. I corresponded with Paul Taylor, and this is what he said after viewing the pictures I sent him:

"Pretty sure this frame was built out of True Temper OX Platinum tubing.
Thanks, Paul."

Can add an Alpha Q fork to the frame for $60 = $360 + shipping
