I thought it's handy for those unfamiliar vacation places ride. Some of us are not a pro level racer. ;)

I've got an HTC Evo (Android) with an Otter Box case and plan to get a handlebar mount for it, primarily for use with the mapping app on long, unsupported rides through unfamiliar territory (I rode from Evanston, IL to St. Joseph, MI last summer and got a little bit mixed up in Hammond, IN). This mount (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400168512141&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT) looks ideal except the guy that sells it doesn't support the larger diameter road bars. Also, the odds are good that for such a long ride I will need to hook up a solar charger. Talk about no free space on the bar!

There's an unfilled market niche for an ipad mount....
