I'm looking to add a stand to the garage. Currently I have a wall mount Park, but would like something that folds up and can be put away when not being used. Needs to be sturdy and not too tip prone.

I'm pretty open to suggestions EXCEPT for the Ultimate. It's a great stand, but the footprint is huge. I used to have one, but it took up half of my workspace when I set it up.

Park PRS-20. It's great. I never see any of the Park sponsored pro teams using any of their other stands. I love mine.

I like my Ultimate just fine too.

dont get me wrong. I loved my ultimate. But it took up way too much room (i live in San Francisco, if that is any hint).

I'm not sure how to get a stand with a small footprint that's not tippy.

I have the PRS-21:

Requires removal of the front wheel, but I don't find that bothersome, and I particularly like the fact that it holds the bike without clamping around the frame.

It's not a particularly small stand, but the Wrench Force Classic is very solid. I've been using one daily since about 2001.

How about a Llewellyn? I'm not sure if they're readily available in the US, but if I wanted to replace my PRS-20, that's what I'd be looking at.

The PRS-20 is fine, too. A little heavy (PRS-21, anyone?) and it can be cumbersome to set up and tear down all the time, but it works well.

Topeak Prepstand Race.

Cheap, probably as good or better quality than the Park.

I just looked at Llewellyn's stand and am quite unimpressed for nearly $400.

Park prs-25. I have the older version of this and it's awesome. Folds up small but stable as he'll.

$50 for a 5 lb savings (going by Amazon prices)? Yikes. You cyclists need more of an upper body workout anyways. ;)

Tacx also makes a good one. I think the model is the Spider.

I use a Spin Doctor (Performance Bike) G3. It's not too expensive, does the job, and you get that 100% satisfaction guarantee.

I second the Park PRS 20 or 21- both excellent
