This past week I had to show up to a hearing at traffic court because I plead "not guilty" to the ticket I received in Central Park earlier this year.

I'm thankful I was found not guilty. However, without going into detail, I must say it was almost as If I was rushed through the system to have the ticket dismissed.

Very weird. Let's see how the next one goes.

Was this for running a red in CP?

If so, did you end up not paying anything for the fine?

Either way, congrats on getting it dismissed.

Dude, how may tickets have you received recently?

Not for running a red, but equally as silly.

No fine. No nothing. Again, oddly rushed right through the process. And I've been through this before.

And it's two tickets in within two weeks. The CP one was a legit ticket under the new "crackdown" rules. The second one was pure harassment- not in CP and I really don't think it had much to do with the crackdown.

Damn. When I went for my ticket, I was only offered a "$250 donation to the court" to drop my ticket.

Not for cycling though, it was for making a right on red.

What was the second one for? A real offense, or something that is not illegal (riding with bag hanging from handlebars, etc).
