there's a reason they're $9.99 - they're crap. i tried the regular and the soft and don't know which was worse. nice concept and good customer service but product = big fail. ymmv, of course.

I on the other hand have nothing but great things to say about the first and both second generation 7800 Hudz. On top of that, the customer service is terrific!

Um ... I have seen lots of Shimano, Campy, and SRAM stuff for cheap on Bonktown ... guess that is crap too ... just saying!

One major distributor here in Montreal was closing out their stock of Hudz for ludicrously low prices - $1.50 to $2.99 a pair at cost. I don't know if this is a reflection of their perceived quality. I picked up a half dozen just for the hell of it - my future Bianchi will be built around a set of celeste hoods. :)

Have not heard the Srucks before. Pretty funny. :)

you are correct.

I replaced my 11sp campy with the soft grip hudz and I really like them. But then again, maybe my hands just require a delicate touch.
