I just installed a new set of Speedplay SS Zero's. I like the double sided entry and the connection seems very positive with no discernable vertical clearance and very smooth float. The cleats seem a little on the complicated side but I'm told they are as durable as the Looks. I also like that they can be rebuilt (unlike my Looks). Any comments on what I can expect as these babies get some miles on them. :p

I have ridden them for over a year now. Absolutely love them.
Buy a set of covers for the cleats when you have to walk on them. They proyect them and also give you some traction when walking.
Good luck and enjoy the system!

I have used the "old" Speedplays for years. I can not emphasize enough how good Bruce's advice is. Buy the cleat covers. It will be the best couple of bucks you ever spend. The Speedplay cleats are easily clogged with mud and it becomes impossible to get the pedals to engage.

Thanks for the tip. I got some cleat covers and the pedals are working fine.
