seeing these components on the compass bicycles site, i did a google search and found the homepage, turns out they build frames too. the site is in japanese, but the gallery is SWEET!

Not quite. A more accurate description is that V-O is the cheaper Taiwanese-knockoff of Grand Bois.

The level of quality is a lot higher (prices to). Handlebars made by Nitto in Japan rather then China, top of the line Japanese tubing for the imperial fork blades, etc., etc.,

Grand Bois do not build frames in-house. While they may contract work to other builders, all of the Grand Bois bikes I've seen discussed had frames built by Toei.
