Race training and group rides in Austin and San Antonio, Tx

I'm looking for some fast paced 22+ race training rides and some regular group rides in the Austin Area for Thursday 4/14 and/or Friday 4/15

I'll also be in San Antonio from 4/16 to 4/20 and am looking for similar rides there.

Can anyone recommend some rides for those dates/locations?

Look at mellow johnnies for Austin rides and San Antonio wheelmen for SA rides.

You could sign up for the MS 150 and ride from Houston to Austin Saturday and Sunday with 13,000 other people. You would have no problem finding a fast crowd.

Coming into downtown Austin to the state capital with the sidewalks jammed with people is really awesome. Good cause to.

San Antonio: Tuesday Nighter out of Helotes, in ole town off of Bandera Road.

Your best bet for Thursday will be the races at the Driveway (http://www.drivewayseries.com/Info/tabid/772/Default.aspx#SCHEDULE). Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop hosts the Truancy Ride (http://www.mellowjohnnys.com/news-and-events/) on Fridays at 2:30. Not the pace you are looking for, but you will see a lot of town, and they do open it up a little on some of the hills.
