If not... read this: http://www.rapha.cc/roger-hammond-on-roubaix/?cm_mmc=email-_-080411-_-textlink1-_-roubaix

And watch this: http://www.rapha.cc/a-throw-of-the-dice/?cm_mmc=email-_-080411-_-textlink9-_-dice

Credit to Rapha. Sometimes the 'honor the tradition' stuff is not overdone.

I've been starting to re-read this book (http://www.amazon.com/Paris-Roubaix-Journey-Through-Philippe-Bouvet/dp/1934030090/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1302315253&sr=8-1) in advance of the race. I'm not usually a fan of the bigger coffee table format, but just stunning photography and writing about every aspect of the race imaginable.

Very excited. Seriously thinking about going in the next year or two to flanders and PR.

Anyone know if there's a book/guide out there for the best way to see these races as a tourist? better to just watch from a random spot in race and then go into a bar after they pass, or try to be at finish, or on the muur or a historic set of cobbles?

Worth it to go with one of those companies that offers a package?

Hope the streaming is good tomorrow AM, watching it on my laptop is lame, but like to watch it as it happens and not later in the day.

Call my buddy Chris Tardy at Custom Getaways (http://customgetaways.com/index.html). They do great trips, everywhere. Mention me and you'll probably get charged more. :D

Seriously, if you do go with a package you will not find a better outfit.

Does anyone know if you can watch cyclingfans' streaming coverage on an iPad? I tried to find the answer on the site but no luck. Thanks.

Doubtful. Steve Jobs said no Flash! And there was no Flash.
