Did you paint it or sand it? Looks cool :)

How did you make it look like that? I want mine to look like that. My post, too.

Acetone. The ARX pro is a lot easier to stripe down than the ARX Team. Lower quality paint/printing I guess.

just a little acetone and some rubbing, or what? I use that stem, but 3T goes overboard with the graphics.

Agree, nice looking stem. Wish it were a 110. So spill the beans, easy to do?

However you did it, it looks hot. Good luck with the sale. (And if you want to reveal more about your method, that would be great.)

Just out of curiosity, as I have an ARX Team in the basement as wel as a can of acetone, when you say it is harder with the ARX Team, do you mean don't bother starting, or just give yourself an extra 30 minutes, 3 hours, or weekend to get it done?

Great looking stem.

Step 1 - Sit in a chair at a solid table so you have something to push against.
Step 2 - Put one of those yellow kitchen gloves on your strong hand.
Step 3 - Open acetone container. Don't breathe it in. You should be in a ventilated area.
Step 4 - Put some acetone on a cotton ball (nothing fancy...regular drug store variety).
Step 5 - Go at it.

The Pro paint will come off very easily. On the Team stem it seems impossible at the start, but keep rubbing. You will break through the top layer and it will start to come off like the Pro version. I would say the Pro stem takes about 30 min. The Team stem may take an hour to get it really nice (the hardest part is the red stripe).

You forgot one.

Step 6 - Profit!

(Seriously, thanks.)

I just did this tonight to a stem and some bars. The whole project took less than fifteen minutes. The key was to keep my rag quite wet with acetone and constantly to use a clean scrubbing surface. Thanks again for the tip!
