Serotta or not?

A friend just sent pics of his brothers bike up for grabs to see what I thought it might fetch. I am not familiar with ben's older stuff. Can anyone I.D.this?
The fillet work is a little suspect to me.

They look pretty similar, lugs a little different. May try looking for serial #'s but with a respray you probably won't see it. Try the steerer tube that is where I found mine bs256 or 258 hard to make it out.

Brake bridge looks different than any Serotta I have crossed paths with or can recall seeing photos of. Side-tack seat stays look similar, mine have a bit crisper lines, but that could be due to the repaint being a bit heavy.
