I'm a newbie to this forum, but I belong to several others. This forum is the only one that I have had any trouble posting photos and avatars to. The others will auto size my several megabite photos down so I can literally drag and drop them. Am I missing something here?

This forum has had issues in the past regarding storage space. While it is possible to share images by downloading directly, you are very limited size wise.

A while back the mods suggested/requested that we share pictures via web hosting such as Flicker.

I know this doesn't answer you question but I suspect the answer is not what you would want to hear anyway.

This forum's 'rules' regarding the size of pics and avatars might be different than the forums you are used to.

Image size is max 800 pixels wide or 142 KB, whichever is larger. Avatars are limited to 50x50 pixels.

Best that you use an image hosting site, as others have suggested. I use ImageShack http://www.imageshack.us/ it's free. If you want to download images directly from your computer to the forum, you may have to reduce their size. If so, there's a freeware image resizer call Mihov Image Resizer, easy to use, can do batch resizing, JPG/GIF/BMP comversions and it's free: http://www.imageresizer.com/

Thanks for the link. I just used it and it works great. Now I can post some pics here without having to reset my camera resolution.
