I will be in Cincinnati (Norwood-Kennedy Heights area) next Weekend. I am thinking about bringing the bike. I have around 2 hrs Friday and Saturday. Any suggestions for a route?

Norwood is not far from Oakley-Hyde Park-Mount Lookout. Most riders in this area head out to Indian Hill & Milford. From Hyde park Square take Erie Ave out to Madison rd to Camargo rd to Miami rd to Shawnee Run. This get you to Indian Hill. Lots of good riding; rollers & country roads with multi-million dollar homes all around. Beware the soccer mom in the SUV getting the kids to practice Saturday morning - she kill you dead!

Here is the page of the Cincinnati Cycle club - http://www.cincinnaticycleclub.org/

A good bike ship and Serotta dealer just off Hyde Park Square is Oakley Cycles - David & Kathy are good people. They can also give routes. http://www.oakleycycles.com/live/

I'd ride with you but I'm going to be off on the Natchez Trace doing a little riding myself.

If you're meaning the Waterfront, and I think you are, it broke free of its moorings and floated free for a little bit last month, but the fire department got it locked down. It is currently closed and may never reopen.

The Loveland Bike Trail (http://www.lovelandbiketrail.com/) is a nice ride if you're looking for something off city streets (it's paved though) and don't mind doing out and back. After about the first 10-15 miles you won't see anybody.

It's a Friday during Lent - the whole city is one big fish fry! Skyline is good, as it Gold Star, but the smaller places are better - Camp Washington Chili, Queen City, Park Chili are all good and much more local.

And since some one will be saying Grater's soon, take it from a local - go to Aglamesis first for ice cream.

You can also go for the trifecta and have some goetta with your breakfast!

I would like to interupt this thread with the following important announcement...

Booooooo!.

I like Cincy, but Skylike Chili is not good, has never been good and will never be good.

Thanks, and back to your regularly scheduled post.

Thanks for your input (especially Cincy Jim for the route recommendation).
I am not a big fan of skyline chili...
I love Graeter's but have never heard of Aglamesis. I'll have to try it!

Wife (plus our baby) decided at the last minute to join me and therefore bike will stay at home- that's a good trade-off though. We'll explore Cincy a bit (as much as the baby and conference allows...), go for some ice cream and probably to the aquarium...
