Part of my Atlanta rehab will be to remove the Rolf Vector wheels and run some wheels I have built up around some Phil hubs. I've realized I've got no skewers for them.

What skewer would you mate with a set of Phil hubs?

Thanks,

Bill

Campy or Shimano. Definitely none of the new style "open" ones.

i'm getting a lot of mileage out of this suggestion (velo orange, $20)

I'm using these on my CSI 'rehab' and they've been great.

Oh I like those quite a bit...and that price is happening too!

What an excellent source of knowledge this forum is!

Why not use the ones you have in the rolf wheels?

Because they are black, ugly, scarred and the action on the closing mechanism feels cheap and loose.

For a slightly more contemporary look I'm lovin' the new Zipp Skewers in stainless. Very light, nice looking, built to last and only $35. I'm running the Zipps on my steel TIG rig, and the Velo-orange on the lugged frame.
