Very cool, perhaps on college campuses and maybe some downtown areas? I like it!

why is that better than a bike path? you cant pass or walk or rollerblade. or segway! which changed the world forever.

It's all fun and games till someone rides slow in the fast lane and the person behind them is late for their exam...
Normals will never use it.. it looks slower then normal cycling. That means more sweat, and no one wants that.
It'd be a great thing to have in a post-oil science fiction move though.
Would you wave?
How would "on your left" work"
They don't look very aero!

Do rowers not like to see where they're going? I understand facing backwards is more "authentic" to the rowing experience, but when given the option, you'd still face backwards?

An answer to a question nobody asked.

How is that more "green"? Think of all the steel and concrete required to create the monorail network.
Like someone else said: an answer to a question that nobody asked.
Like trains or monorails versus buses – this system takes most route flexibility out of the equation.
People want their own point-to-point transportation, not someone else’s idea of where it should start and end. That’s the beauty of a bike or car.

what a great thing to see in a green pasture. a bunch of concrete posts and steel beams.
dumbest idea of the millennium? that guy should have his fortune confiscated to be spent on truly helpful causes.

Very similar to a ride that my son and I did in Lego Land CA. From toy to transportation alternative. Anyone ever see the show where a house and all its contents were built of Legos?

I had to check the date and make sure it wasn't tomorrow.

I went by it last summer, he has a prototype on his farm west of the twin cities. No one was on it, just looked like a monorail track. He's a creative type that's for sure. Somewhat eccentric.

A College campus would be perfect. I takes me 15 minutes to walk
from the library to a lecture hall, and it would take about 2 minutes
on one of those!
The biggest cost savings would potentially be in an environment where the land
was at a premium, and allocating space to ground transport is prohibitively
expensive, or unlikely do to congestion.
If someone buys that thing, I have a perpetual motion machine they might be interested in.
