If you watch part two, you'll see the margin of victory. Guess I should put a spoiler alert up too in the first post.

Ridiculous!

Cancellara doesn't attack, he kills people.

How does he catch a lead group then decide "I'm going to ride off the front now"

LOL
I not sure putting "spoiler alert" along with the riders name in the thread title does much good?

Procycling: How much weight training do you do?

GB: Three times a week. And then big-gear riding, which is another form of weight training - a way of getting big thighs!

Procycling: Speaking of which, how big are your thighs?

GB: 69cm! It's weird!

What is all the more impressive is that the commentators say that he weighed in at 92 kg earlier in the day (200 lbs) and had a few flats and then needed to change bikes...

Ha ha, I laughed at that too. That's like putting "Spoiler alert: Contador" in thread title during the month of July.

That can't be true. Isn't he normally in the 185-ish range? He's clearly not fat. So he's packed on 15 lbs of muscle?

And they missed some of the most impressive parts of it...

I don't think I've seen anything like Saturday's performance since Eddy Merckx in his prime.

The guys is the best TTer in the world....by a long shot...and also one of the best bike handlers. Peaking when you plan to and having superhuman one day race performances don't suprise me. Ripping people's legs off in multiple grand tours in a single year or the TdF 7 years in a row is a little less believable. I am aquaintances with one of Saxo's/Now Leopards sports physiologists and he has shared with me the results of FC lab and wattage tests. He is a freak.

I agree with you about the difference in demands, and I am sure that physiologically, he is like none-other. However, I'll stand by my skepticism. I'm jaded about pro cycling in general and I have seen him do some things that simply defy logic.

He has a motor helping him. I saw it on the internet once. It's not fair and they should ban his bike for it.

The commentators repeat it a number of times in the broadcast that he weighed in at 92 kg on the scale that morning. 92 kg is just over 200 lbs.

I have something in common with cancellara, we weight the same hahaha :)

Weight doesn't say that much, you can tell he is not overweight at all, he is fitted, probably he is stronger than ever now. His pedaling cadence continues higher than ever, the other thing is that for being that strong he doesn't use "all the cake" (aka use the smallest cog) like other riders do, his pacing is just flawless, have to admit this, strong had the same gift.

Good for him...

At this point for sure he will kill everybody in the flanders this weekend. Anybody guess who will win?

No tour pro weighs close to 200 lbs.

I just looked at an article a year ago talking about him weighing around 76kg or 167.2 lbs.
