I had no idea what this was all about. So, I did a very quick search. To save some of you some time looking:

They are in the process of building a cycling museum next to it. I'm only sorry I couldn't ride my bike up to it - what a climb!!!

I can only assume, if they in fact are cyclists, their saddle to bar drop is too severe.

Thanks for the great photos! I bet those blessed jerseys would be a hot Ebay item ;)

Connie Carpenter, I believe is the only American to have a jersey in the chapel!

Your weather looks way better! Very briefly, we did the 2005 Giro d'Italia trip with Bikestyletours (run out of Brisbane - awesome group by the way if you're looking to follow along in the thick of the European tours) which was all last week, and we got to ride most of the Giro mountain stages, as well as some super cool detours like the one up to the Ghisallo (first pic -I'm on the orange Kirk in the back... btw, the S&S couplered Kirk was a piece of cake for the travel bit and the the bike simply rocked on both the climbs and the decents. Thanks Dave!) Here are a couple of other photos too from some of the other days (dirt road pic is the last bit of the unpaved section of the colle delle finestre (1800m climb in 18k). The snowy peak is on the decent back down the other side of the climb to Sestriere. Unbelievably beautiful riding and amazing too to see in person how fast the pros fly up the hills (not to mention how fast they go down again too..)

I like the interior photos, but I must in all honesty expose your fabrication--that’s really dbrk’s basement! ;)

OLS . . . Also beautiful photos and I wish I could ride there. All those people on the mountainside WERE waiting there to watch YOU come up, right?
