I haven't personally, but I've heard from some guys who have and were very happy with the results. What are you looking to have done? A custom frame or work on your frame?

He does painting too. I was thinking of getting my Serotta either repainted or just stripped down to bare titanium. Haven't decided yet.

No frame...not yet anyway.. :)

He painted my Serotta a couple years ago and over all I am very happy with the job he did. Recently I have heard that David has been having some health issues that is biting into his work schedule so wait time may be "flexible".

I've talked to David via email and at NAHBS, whe I saw some samples of his work. The samples looked good and his turn time and prices are reasonable.

I felt confident enough that I will probably send him my Schwinn Volare to restore, as well as my Coors Light CSI.

Thanks, it took me much too long to decide on a color for this repaint. Finally saw a Lexus GS in the parking garage at work early one morning with the sun shining over it and it was one of those "that's it" moments. If you speak to David tell him Jon Fischer says hello.

I had him repaint my CRL two winters ago. David was great to work with. At that time he was working out of a shop behind his house. It was neat to see how he worked and i have been more than happy with the work. David stripped the frame back to the bare metal, checked for proper alignment, treated the entire frame with rust protector then painted her up. I would recommend him for sure. His prices were more than reasonable. If memory serves me correctly the whole process was sub $400 and the turnaround time was about 6 weeks.

There is a fellow who I think has posted here from time to time, but mostly hangs out at RBR by the name of Dave Hickey.

Dave lives in Dallas and has a custom from them, has a bunch of painting done by them and I think is in pretty close contact with the boss man.

Give him a shout.
