I don’t consider myself a shill for Serotta, but I since I originally posted a warning about this issue when I first found out that I had a problem, I have to give the company credit for fixing things:

Recap: Last year I purchased a Heads-Up HT extension for my Legend. Since I don’t have a headset removal tool I took it and the frame to my LBS for removal of the race and re-installation. As it turned out, the female portion of the HU was too big and the race could be spun with just your fingers. Because Serotta was out of Ti HUs they could not replace it until the new Al version was in. That took a very, very, long time (months).

Resolution: The Al HU was finally shipped last week. To make it up to me, Serotta refunded the original purchase price. Now that’s treating your customers right…
