I like the picture of the one in unfinished carbon fiber, that'd be nice for showing up at my weekly group ride.

Oh yeah and I forgot since I dropped my computer, $9200.00. I'll take two.

. . . looks sexy when pictured with a Formula 1 race car! :hello:

My only gripe is the rear wheel stand for the bike. It looks like one of those wire things you'd buy at Bed, Bath & Beyond to put in your kitchen cabinet to store stuff on. :crap:

What's this curved TT stuff that seems to be all the rage these days?

Given that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, I assume it is just the latest fad and purely for cosmetic purposes. If not, please explain.

not going to lie to you, it honestly does nothing for me.

essentially, its to mimic the curvature of a spine, to give a little vertical compliance whilst keeping the bottom bracket area laterally stiff.

[I almost can't write that and keep a straight face, but it's the truth]

i wonder why that gap is so big between the tire and seat tube. Looks super, cant wait for the track version.

meh... just looks like another bike to is marketed to people who will never make full use of it and likely would have been better buying a less race-like bike...

funny, except for the arched top tube, it looks a lot like this:

In fact I think the Volagi has the edge in differentiated features

Pez,
What's your take on those, just hype or???

That's a lot of marketing that went into that bike. I call BS on 23 watts at 45km/h! What were they comparing it to, a beach cruiser? Also, how does a flattened top tube that slopes down that much reduce drag? It all smells like a lot of BS to justify a huge price tag on a bike that offers no real advantage or innovation.

If the curvature of my spine is related to the shape of that frame's TT it's a good thing that what's inside my head is not... :p

Great point as most people will never ride to the level of their bike. It's a beholder thingy as in beauty.

A question for the mechanic folk, are the internally routed cables better or worse when servicing? I noticed that some of the same looking bikes have external cables and some don't on the tt. What's up with that?

Does even much less for me.

Looks like a Madone that was humped by a Cervelo.

The only thing I find questionable is the paint scheme. I am getting a little tired of the highlights on inner surfaces, with matte outer surfaces--which I think probably originated with the Speedvagen (?). Otherwise, I bet it's a hoot to ride (not saying I'd buy one, but still).

That thing is hideous.

But, but, but it has all the standard 'stuff'.

Internal routing, oversized HS bearing, unique BB 'standard', No seatmast tho(didn't they check with marketing first??), and light and expensive...win on sunday, sell on monday!!

Put some magic bearings in it(10% drivetrain efficiency improvement-really??_nope) and you too can win Milan-SanRemo-maybe not but at least the coffee shop awards.

internal cable routing is generally a huge pain in the ass and if not done correctly can add friction to your cable system reducing shift speed.

Hey thanks been wondering about that. kinda thought there was a downside as the Specialized I looked at didn't have it.

Any time cables go inside it's tougher to service. It's done for 'aerodynamics', as if the cable stop and 1.1mm cables makes a huge difference in aerodynamics. BUT according to Cervelo, it does, probably the toughest frame to cable by far.

Had a chance to ride a Volagi yet? I saw one in person at Jim's Bicycle Shop in Cincinnati and was offered a test ride. I would have taken them up on it if I was serious about purchasing a bike right now.

I like the look of the Volagi and the concept and execution. Anyone ride one? Would love a ride report or test ride...

Haters hate because that's just what they do.

It's pretty damn hot by my standards.
