We went in april last year.. didn't get to see this (even though it was probably below freezing at night, it was freaking cold).

But this time period is the time to go.. no bugs, high water levels at the waterfalls, spring in the valley, still winter at the high elevations, and no crowds..

Very cool video. It does look/act a lot like lava, only colder.

Not only like lava, but like a sped-up time lapse of a big glacier moving down a mountainside. Makes me want to book tickets to the Valley this month!
