Phoenix Road Routes

Hello All-

I will be visiting Phoenix in a week or so and I am looking for possible road routes or slower group rides.

I am currently in my Base period so I am more interested in routes that provide three hours of riding, are fairly safe, don't require sustained efforts of high intensity and don't have lots of vehicular traffic.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here's hoping for warm sunny weather while I'm there.

We have some folks from our local team, GS Park Ridge going to Phoenix area for base mile training 2/24 - 2/29.

I spoke to some folks over at the Bicycle Ranch in Scottsdale, and they suggested staying over by ASU in Tempe, which would give us the best access to the South Mountain Region, Tortilla flats, and Superstition mountain.

Yesterday, I ordered a Arizona Cycling guide, and phoenex area maps to try and figure this out. I do know that Bicycle Ranch does ground rides on Saturday AM, in the typical a-b-c format.
