I'm gathering the build parts for a belt drive commuter bike. I plan on picking up some dura ace 7800 cranks on ebay. Since I've never actually seen dura ace cranks up close, I wanted to check whether there could be a compatibility issue. I don't want to buy these cranks and then find out that I can't attach a belt drive sprocket. So, shifting and alignment issues aside, can a non-shimano outer ring be bolted onto a dura ace crank?

No issues bolting a non-shimano ring. Both FSA and Thorne rings on my cross bike. I don't think there'd be anything too strange about a belt drive chain(belt?)ring either.
