I live under a rock when it comes to Hollywood celebs, and prefer to stay that way, but a buddy sent this to me. I know many of you have seen this, but like watching car chases on TV, you can't look away. There are about 10 one liners I need to integrate into my working vocabulary, starting with having "tiger blood".

I think he may have eaten way too much of that Spanish Beef ;)

He's clearly a lunatic...but didn't we make him that way? He's been treated like he's special since he was a child actor. He's had women all over him his entire life. He has money most of us can only dream of.

Isn't there an element of truth to his rants? We've put him on a pedastal and he's saying I'm on a pedastal. I think some of this insanity is his satire of how we treat him. He knows he's on a mindless, mediocre, sitcom and he's saying he's better than that. That show reeks...he is better than that. So is his co-star.

I loved when he was asked if he was bi-polar, he said was "bi-winning."

I hate to say it, but there's a nugget of truth in his statement that part of his life is to bring something interesting into the boring lives of others. How many people consumer celebrity news for some vicarious interest?

He's still got a loooong way to go to match Keith Richards, the undisputed master of hard partying.

Maybe its all just brilliant publicity/entertainment, but there's a very real possibility that this guy is losing his crap and really falling apart. Threatening to cut your ex-wife's head off when you've been as erratic as this guy is not a laughing matter. I hate to see everyone lining up to talk to him and put him in tabloids. If its a publicity stunt, we shouldn't feed it, and if he's losing it, we shouldn't be laughing...

Biopic? This is Opera material.

If the Royal Opera can do it for Anna Nicole Smith it's just a matter of time.

Nicholas Cage couldn't even believably play Nicholas Cage at this point. Talk about a waste of talent.

It's been all downhill since miscroscopic Elvis.

Didn't see it...thought the original was horrendous and had no stomach for a remake. I can't stand Keitel most of the time either for that matter. Scene munchers get attention, but most of them can't act. Cage at one point could, but that was pre-miscroscopic Elvis.

I'll wager he's suffering from manic depression.

It's sad that the whole world likes to watch mental illness.

My feeling is that the "whole world" likes to watch this cr@p, along with most "reality TV" because it makes them feel better about their own miserable lives..... :(

Hated the original and agree with everything you say. This isn't really a remake though, just has the same title. Cage is really great in it (he was also great in Adaptation).

Very sad, and I think he may of been high during the interview...

It definitely appears he lost some brain cells, I had a close friend simular story who now is dead. When you talked with him, you new it just wasnt the same guy. Something seriously went wrong with him upstairs.

As elef said, nothing nice about mental illness. Sad

They guy is an abuser. Simple... I don't think he is a psychopath but he is a megalomaniac for sure, probably induced by his drug use. He has acted out violently before so I don't think what he has said should be taken lightly.

It would be one thing if he was just a single guy but he has kids. I think it is really a sick commentary on him and the media at large.

That said, when he said this:

"I am on a drug, it's called 'Charlie Sheen.' It's not available cuz if you try it once you will die. Your face will melt off and children will weep..."

That was kinda funny.

And for some strange reason it reminded me of Lance and his on the bike for six hours quote.

Want to know the most ironic thing about (the drug called) Charlie Sheen? He has no morality clause in his contract. That means should he sue Warner Bros. and NBC/Universal, even with everything he's said and done in the last week, he could win many, many millions of dollars for breach of contract. He can say and do anything he wants in any way, shape or form as far as the paper he signed.

i find it hard to believe that nbc would have signed a contract with him without a 'for cause' termination provision into which his behavior would fall; if they did, shame on them.

He may be losing it, but he does give some great quotes:

"I embarrassed him in front of his children and the world by healing at a pace that his unevolved mind cannot process."

"Last I checked, I spent close to the last decade effortlessly and magically converting your tin cans into pure gold."

"Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words -- imagine what I would have done with my fire-breathing fists."

"The run I was on made Sinatra, Flynn, Jagger, Richards, all of them look like droopy-eyed armless children."
