can fork manufacturers and computer manufacturers get together and come up a universal fork mount for the sensor? am I asking for too much? I know some wheels might what to put the magnet in different spots and there are those that use wireless so there might be a wired model and and a wireless model, but really, can we just agree?

well you've got trek who builds in space for their duotrap ant+ sensors into their (better) frames, i'd say that's a step in the direction you're looking for...

Will the weight weenies be able to get the fork without the magnet?

I don't want a magnet on the fork...I want a universal mount...I'm thinking all it is is a embedded nut in the fork. that way all you have to do is screw the sensor on. the magnet is still the same, attached to the spoke.
