We might just have to post a sticky defining the term.

I think we've beaten this horse to death so many times it's starting to think it's a cat. :crap:

Unfortunately for older members, it keeps coming up as new members join and try to get up to speed with terminology qaround here. It's the nature of the beast. Kinda like ATMO.

Or we could just stop being a bunch of geeks and writing "Across the hall" and "ATMO". Admittedly, Velocipede Salon isn't a party to write but ATMO has "Jumped the shark" here as much as "Jumped the shark" has "Jumped the shark".

For subjects like this just go to the search function; advanced search; "across the hall" titles only. You will get plenty of info.

...at my place, the family practice office...all is user friendly
across the hall - you'll find orthopedic surgeons...
they have some really cool tools, they operate all day
and they can be, well, they're surgeons, people!

Why do people take these requests (e.g. "What is ATMO?" and "What is across the hall?") seriously?

I automatically assume that anyone who posts that sort of question is a troll.

I am not a troll. Just an honest question. A few folks PM'ed me and told me the answer. I did not know that I was asking about 'he who should not be named'. Sorry for the trouble I have stirred up here. I will not try to talk to the cool kids for a week...

Really...no harm no foul and no one should be getting their noses out of joint.

It's just one of those questions that comes up every so often (even if it is over and over again).

Sort of like..... "Why is there air?"
