Can the new 11sp ergos be rebuilt like the old 10 speed?

Probably been covered here before, but I the searches I did came up nix...

Sort-of. While doing the repairs is a much easier task than before, Campy no longer sells individual repairs parts, like they have in the past. There are also no heavily streseed g-springs to wear out, so far less maintenance is expected with the ultrashift design. If something inernal breaks, you have to buy a major assembly that includes everything but the brake hood, brake lever and band clamp.

The powershift levers are another story. Also no repair parts, but the design is entirely different, much like the previous escape shifter.

Campy does still sell parts for earlier 9s/10s ergos, just had my 9s Centaurs
rebuilt for another 15k miles of shifting.

It would be fantastic if suntour comes back with road parts and some like an ergo system.

Or even with electric for road :D

Innards are completely different and along with that, 'assemblies' are available from Campagnolo but not individual small parts.

No spring carrier and no shift springs either so little need for the traditional 'rebuilding' being necessary.

you still can find 2010 centaur, but the ultra shift one and if you find the right parts you could eventually convert it to 11 speed.
