Hi all,

I know this topic has been discussed before, but I cannot seem to find it when I do a search...

That said, my Cinelli cork white bar tape is getting pretty dirty (I know, why use white?). It just looks so damn good (and impractical) on my Porsche Bebe to Pearl White fade CSI.

Please share with me the most effective way to clean my bar tape?

As always, thank you all in advance,

Steve

Right now I use Simple Green spray undiluted., I just cleaned my red tape last night. I use a terry cloth (rough surface) towel to help. I've also used other spray cleaners like 409. I've never had white though...

Steve: Simple answer. Buy a case of white Cinelli tape and re-tape your bars every Saturday morning. That way you'll look fabulous all weekend!

I think I'd rather ride than spend the time retaping. But, I'd get awful good at it! Isnt it a lost art or something??I mean, to do it right...

Whenever the (good) wrench at my LBS does it, it comes out so beautiful and never unravels...When I do it, thats a whole other story!

So, rather than retape, I think I'll just clean.
