With all this snow I'm gaining 3lbs a day! I use "lose it" for Iphone, gets the job done espec. when you toss your usual meals in there and save em.

fitday is excellent.

I found it to have 95% of what I consume. And the 5% it's missing, you have to add manually.

I like (since I don't have a smart phone-yet, bought for my parents some first)
keeping things on my computer and not having to log in to something.

When I get a smartphone for myself, I will love it and write stuff down at the time.

Check out the link above if you have a mac computer.

I use the Livestrong site. It has a pretty extensive database of foods. Plus you can track your steroids! :)

Seriously it is pretty decent.

The best is weight watchers but it costs. A very close second is LiveStrong. I use the webiate and it autosyncs to my iPhone/iPad so you can log on the go and it is all sync'd

I think the Livestrong will be a good tool. Thanks for the suggestions.

My vote goes to Lose It! (http://loseit.com/)

Daily and weekly tracking of calorie intake for meals and snacks, calories burned for various exercise, as well as caloric intake and weight loss goals.

It also has an excellent food/calorie database, including supermarket food items and will produce summary reports. In addition, you can add and edit your own food items and types of exercise.

If you have an iPhone, there is a free Lose It! app that can synch with your web Lose It account, or you can use it independent of the website.

I just started using Training Peaks since I already log my workouts there. I'm two days in and although I know it will get easier over time, it's a big pain in the tukus. I bet the database is better elsewhere, though the big bother is home cooked meals which account for the vast majority of what we eat.
