I bought a pair of musas that I outgrew due to abdominal growth.
MUSA <=stands for Made in the USA.

I sold them to someone on the forum. i can't recall who.
I am going to order another pair just a size longer.

They are light & comfy and you can wear padded bike brief with them.
They can be a little rough on the skin though.

What's nice is you can commute on your bicycle and then go for a swim
at the beach and in the summer they dry quickly. They come with a
decent not great belt.

I see that on the Riv bike sight they have a pair Seersucker shorts as well.
I have not tried those but seems like it would be the right balance
of comfort breathability on a really hot day.

I'm a BIG fan of Zoic stuff... they are really well made, have really nice features and are pretty affordable... Their shorts also have a chamois liner that is detachable if you want to just wear the shorts, a very cool feature...

Anyway, you can find them here (http://www.zoic.com/mens-ether-short) (these are my favorite pair, but they have others)

I believe you can find them at REI as well... BTW- I find the sizing to be normal, meaning I wear a large in other shorts and the large Zoic's fit really well...

Also, if you are active duty military (I know some here are), they do a 50% discount!

For trails and around the town riding I like following:

Rapha 3/4 shorts (http://www.rapha.cc/3or4-shorts), formerly called the Rapha Fixed shorts, so that's fitting, but even on sale they are a bit pricy.

Swobo Rind (http://www.amazon.com/Swobo-Technical-Short-Liner-Baggy/dp/B001H31ZYE) shorts are nice, their liners are very good quality and you can pull them out to wear with other shorts (like my Rapha Fixed ones) and they were coming up on Chainlove very cheap pretty regularly for a while (I think I got one pair for $39 and a second for $24).

I also picked up some Cutter Knickerbockers (http://gearjunkie.com/cutter-knickers) on Chainlove.com that I like, but I don't see them around much anymore.

Butch, I like the Endura stuff that you have linked. I use the 3/4 length for my in town riding where I might do _get-offs_ at the store or whatever. Very durable and comfortable. Lots of pockets and such. The internal lycra shorts are little more snug fitting than the corresponding size from the typical sources. But if your close to your fighting weight it won't matter. Do you wear the baggies on all rides? I wear stright up lycra on training type rides. Revolution Bicycles over in the "Pete" carries Endura.
