I thought I had found the right saddle for me when I rode the trans am max on a friends bike but i guess I'm not the only one.

Whats the consensus replacement for this saddle?
I bought a few different saddles from forumites and so far the prolink seems to be the closest I've gotten but not quite the same.

I have this saddle on my Serotta and at first underestimated it, too. I now consider it to be one of the most comfortable saddles I own. I thought the anatomic cutout was a gimmick, but it, uh, serves a purpose. I bought a Selle Italia Maxflite Gel Flow in case I have to replace this in the future. I haven't ridden the new saddle, yet, so I cannot attest to its rideability. It seems to approximate the older saddle feature-wise and dimensionally. Check the Selle Italia web site for saddle dimensions on their saddle line.

very difficult to help you, but i'll point out that i can ride almost ANY saddle for about an hour, it's not until then when the good ones separate from the ones that dont work for me. good luck on the search.

I used to ride the Terry Mens' Liberator Ti. The shape looks almost identical to that saddle. The underside of the Terry even said it was made by Selle Italia, with Selle Italia molded right into the plastic. I put a Fizik Alliante on a new bike and then moved to that for all my bikes at the time, so I sold off the 3 Terrys that I had.

Now I also have a Selle Italia Gel Max Flite on my HSG and I like that too.

If you buy a Terry saddle directly from them, they used to have a money back guarantee - if you don't like the saddle after you ride it, send it back for a full refund.

I have a very lightly used one I'd part with for $60 shipped.

Didn't the guy who runs the site of that ebay auction get suspended for doping/dealing recently? Would that "enhance" that saddle's value? (Maybe some bonus goodies mixed in with the packing peanuts?)

Whatever, I have these saddles on all three of my bikes, plus one or two extras that I picked up on the 'bay. Glad I got them before they went up to $76 for used. Were they even that much new?

I think I paid around $100 but it was lumped with a total build kit so I can't be sure.
