Crit Series Near LAX

Hello sunny southern cal forum riders. I need some help... I may be on business near LAX this spring and wanted to inquire about a training criterium series. I've looked on-line and I keep finding el dorado and ontario crit series.

Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction? Is there anything during the week within riding distance from LAX?

Give me a holler if you wanna ride sometime. If you cant find a mid-week something-something, I'm happy to do hill repeats with you until we both throw up twice.

Ontario is like 50 miles from LAX. Last time I raced there it was 113*F (But that was in August)

The CBR races are experience builders and an easy way to try things out. That said, expect to see some really powerful kids who don't know how to handle their bikes (I don't do those races for that reason). CBR also requires its own membership due to a fight between them an USCF.

You'll about 15 miles from the Home Depot velodrome. You can rent track time there. Mr. Phinney and others have been spotted there frequently. Encino is about 30 miles away. They have a concrete outdoor velo there.

Non racing: Donut Ride, Simi Ride, Tri Zombies (out of Manhattan Beach), Nichols Canyon ride (sundays), Mandeville Cyn ride (wednesday mornings). etc.

For bike shops check out Cynergy and Helens in Santa Monica.
