I've got a set of Campy 28 hole hubs and I'd like to find a pair of carbon clincher rims.

I'd love to hear from anyone that has built up a set of carbon rims using their own hubs. Good experiences or bad. Particularly your sources for carbon rims.

Thanks in advance.

Im assuming (perhaps wrongly) that you are looking for a cheaper build? Anyway, i was before and these seemed to be getting okay reveiws

Never ended up going ahead with the wheelbuild but ppl seem to be pleased with the experience of buying / using their rims.

Thanks for the link. You are correct about the price issue. But I'm also interested to learn just how many companies are selling carbon rims to see what options exist. thanks

Reynolds is the best of the field now, IMO and offer custom drillings.

yeah that was the point and is always gonna be a risk when not purchasing a proven product.

Then again, what does "not high enough quality for me to use" mean? could be poor finish or crap rims.

I only have one indirect experience with carbon clinchers.

On a group ride we all went over a crack in the road. Everyone's wheels went bumpity-bump except one guy, on his first ride on his graduation present carbon clinchers. His wheels went crunch.
