I use the "Racer" full kits all the time...no issues here...but...I'm not very sensitive apparently.

I have the Racer kit on 2 bikes, as per suggestions from other members on this forum.

There's some oddities to it, namely the brake ferrules.

#1, a section of it is smaller diameter, so I have an inline adjuster on one bike that doesn't really work so well because the ferrule doesn't seat cleanly in the adjuster barrel and "pivots" a little.

On my other bike (Scott CR1), the brake ferrule is too long for the frame. It's just long enough that it shortens the effective distance between the rear caliper and cable stop. The short distance between the cable stop and the caliper means that the rear caliper won't stay centered, because the cable housing is rotating the caliper on it's mount (dual pivot Ultegra 6500 caliper). I tightened the crap out of the nut to try and help it, but I'm afraid of crushing the seat stay bridge.

I eventually got a shorter ferrule for it which helped some, but still is a pain...but that's more a frame design niggle.
