A trackstand when i come to a red light. I can go slow to about 1 mph approaching the light...hover a bit..and sort of cheat while waiting for the light to change. But, can't really do it.

I realized how old and chicken sh*t I am now - dropped my baby off at daycare a couple of days ago (left the trailer there) and started to ride to work. I approached a long, multi-pitch staircase that I would have ridden down easily ten years ago, and now - I just couldn't do it. I got off like a nerd and walked down.

I guess that is called self preservation when you know that your kid will be up and screaming in the night regardless of whether I have a broken collarbone or not.

I also recall riding up a few stairs when I was a whippersnapper. Those days are way gone now too.

PS I just figured out trackstands at lights last year. It is wayyy easier on a rigid fork than on my MTB!

Man you guys are missing the biggest one;

I can't ride away from the pack like I use to. I try, I really try. But alas, now I'm glad to just hang on.

Getting back on track.

1) I spend too much time at work looking at bike pr0n.
2) I look a little too long at female cyclists (even when the girl is in close proximity)
3) I consider upgrading before I consider changing my training.
4) Alcohol during the on-season
5) BUTTER . . . OH MY GOD, BUTTER!!!
6) The newest supplement to make me faster (echinacea 4x day is the current one)
7) Riding fast when I should be riding slow (aka rest days are for wimps)
8) going too soon.
9) whistling during the first 10 laps of a crit to freak others out

etc

I am flawed
