Shamals with a replacement Corima Freehub

Some time ago I read that you could use a Corima freehub body on an older Campy Shamal wheelset to convert it from 8 to 9/10.

I even found some old quotes from the Corima website to confirm this. However, the current website says nothing about it. I contacted corima and was told that their bodies were only for their hubs.

Couple questions. Has the Corima design changed? And can anyone confirm if this works or not?
