"Beginning January 2011 and for the next two years, Rapha has partnered with four masters of framebuilding to offer four distinct, hand-made bicycles. Each partner has been selected because of the mastery of their craft and passion for road cycling. With each partner we have created a model constructed uniquely for a particular style or purpose of riding:"

neat.

That's kinda nice. It will allow more people to get to know the work of smaller builders. But it looks like prices are very high. I am wandering what would the price be for about the same bike from the same builder but without the Rapha logo...

$1k Rapha tax.

2nd is a collab, so you can't find a price.

IF isn't listing prices.

Looks like the Cinelli is cheaper with a Rapha subsidy!

I'm stunned. Absolutely speechless.

Nothing against the builders but I gotta go take my trash out.

Looks like the Cinelli is cheaper with a Rapha subsidy! At current exchange rates, the Rapha Cinelli XCR starts at $5,450.

You can get an XCR from Wrench Science (minus paint) for $4,600:

At first glance I only saw 3 digits and said SOLD! Then I clicked and saw the 1 between the 5 and 9. Gulp.

Google told me 3500 EUR = 4524 USD. Are you confusing the Euro symbol w/ the British pound?

Google told me 3500 EUR = 4524 USD.You're right, I apologize. I mistakenly saw pounds, not euros, because Rapha usually has prices in pounds.

Its maybe a faster way to get an Ira Ryan, if you want one and don't want to wait in the queue he has.

But man...I'd probably rather got with Strong's Custom Blend for that.

$1k Rapha tax.

It comes with a "free" Rapha softshell jacket, so you end up ahead on the deal.

Sweet ride. I am Rapha fan, so I was intrigued by their bikes. The XCR is pretty sweet. All too rich for me, but I can appreciate all of them. It doesn't take long for the flames to start flying when Rapha is mentioned.

Ha, all I kept thinking about was J. Peterman from Seinfeld... :D (same with Rapha actually...)

Hey, if you've got the coin to plunk down for VERY expensive jersey, more power to you... I'm learning in my economics class that this what helps make a mixed economy go around... so thanks! :D

Well no worry I didn't buy
The bike due to it being a rapha bike, I just liked the way they did the color scheme. I think the rapaha ssr is also nice, but this new xs kind of lacks a bit for me.

Like I said when they did my cross bike I just loved the color scheme.
I do own the matching jersey as I got it from my wife, but I own nothing else rapha.

Love Rapha stuff. Good (great) quality. Thought the black/pink bikes at NAHBS last year were cool.

I could use some XXL jerseys :)

I don't know if I would categorize Cinelli as one of the masters of framebuilders. Nearly all of their alloy and carbon frames are outsourced from Taiwan. I bet their XCR is contracted out in Italy somewhere.

I guess what I should have said is "Black and white but NOT zebra stripes!" :D :p ;)
