The site invites people to submit stories in six words. Hemingway started the idea with this story: "For sale: Baby shoes. Never worn"

How about some cycling-related six-word stories? Here are a couple:

I guess the idea is to write six words that make the reader write their own story, at least when I read Hemingway's I think that's the idea. Like the 'for sale' sign up in Lake Placid for a women's x-c ski set (skis, bindings, poles, shoes) "used one hour".

My homage to the depths of winter:
