Man, what I'd give for a ride like that in early January. Rollers in the garage---just not the same.

Get a mile or two in for me.

It does sound like a Texas town name, doesn't it? It is so nice to see you're feeling"perky" again.

Wisco is indeed deep in the freezer, a couple of states north of Florida, and one or two east of California.

Wish I was in Frisco instead.

Living in Palm Beach County for a spell. The riding sux but the weather is perfect for riding. Can't have everything, so I won't complain. I could be freezing my bells off in NY...

I rode tonight, after work. It was a balmy 20°F outside. I had on:

Showers Pass Softshell
Patagonia Capilene baselayer
Showers Pass Elite Roadie Pants
Sugoi bike shorts
Wool socks
Shimano Winter mountain shoes
Neck Gaiter
Winter cycling cap
Big Primaloft Mittens

I'd much rather be in shorts in Florida!

Cold and windy here in Charlotte. A winter storm blowin in Sunday.
BUT I gotta ride.
I use these times to test different pieces of cold weather clothing.

Pick a nice short loop.

Listen to tunes and roll for a while.

Repeat till chilled...............

Even if short it is nice and prevents cabin fever axe murders.

Got to hand it to you guys and gals that ride through snow et al. But for me, I have transferred to the gym -- major incline walking on the treadmill, spin classes, various weights (not heavy lifting).

And today . . . tubing!

Oops, in the "life gets in the way" category, I was fully dressed, my bike was outside and and i was literally out the door...and my 4 yr old son began crying and complaining that his head hurt. He's got a temperature. I didn't want to leave him with the baby sitter, so I undressed and gave him some medicine. 20 minutes later he feels better....that's the way it goes.

My new bar mitts just came-that's good.

7 degrees. Sunny now with 2 inches of fresh last night-- not enough to ski (we're getting spoiled this year). Cottage cheese pancakes and a kid morning, then hoping for a Pugsley event later, life events allowing...

4 eggs, 2 cups cottage cheese, 1 cup flour (I like whole wheat). Mix, add fruit if desired (semi-frozen rasperries work great) griddle or pan 350'ish. They take a lot longer to cook than regular pancakes-- make sure they're done (eggs and all). Serve with sour cream (yeah, I know, but its SO good), or butter and syrup. Watch 2 rounds of Sports Center to recover and go ride it off...
