Alright you foul weather Forumites, I've had enough of the clip-on fenders so I picked up a set of PB's. Is there an attachment device/clip that will help me lower front fender to match the clearance dimension of the rear fender?

Also, is there an attachment/clip that will allow me to attach the rear fender, as there is no chainstay bridge?

Thanks

On the front, make an extender from a bent piece of a Blackburn rear rack strap. There's a kit of these straps with each rack, and shops always end up with all the extras. They are nice, stainless, and come in a couple different designs. Just pick the one that works best and cut it down to the right length, saving the part that works best for you.

As for the rear, if no brake bridge hole is drilled, you can do it easily with a stainless P-clamp. These are coated in vinyl so they aren't supposed to mar the frame, but still I'd put some tape over the bridge, then attach the P-clamp. You'll need some stainless hardware to match -- I'd recommend stainless metric nylok nuts (so you don't need lockwashers and so it never rattles loose), button-head allen-key bolts, and plenty of washers. Everything stainless.

What 11.4 said.

For the chainstayless end, use a couple tyraps to connect the fender directly to the chainstays.

Home Depot to the rescue, based on the tips from you kids. Here's a decent website too that has a fender application for a vintage bike.

Thanks again for the help...the test will be tomorrow, as long as there is no ice on the road.
