Serial Number Help

I have this very old Serotta believe it to be a mid 70's Club Series. The bottom bracket numbers are hard to make out but the fork is stamped with the following serial number bs 256. Anyone have an idea how to decipher this.

The BS stands for Ben Serotta and the number is sequential. So this one was made by Ben.
