Who bought a set off bonktown (or elsewhere)??
How do you like them? Comparisons to the older SL model?
Thx!

Have been running a set of sl for 6 years as everyday trainers. Nothing but good things to say about them, never had to true them and still roll smooth.

Got a pair of Slr this summer for racing and have used them around 1,000 miles. They are faster than the sl's. They seem a little more light weight in construction than the sl's but until a problem there arises I can't complain about that. I think they do look cooler than the sl's.

The only thing I have found negative about the slr's is they are the tightest rims for putting on tires that I have ever had. It may just be the set I have, does anyone else have this issue? I am used to not having to use tire levers, these wheels will challenge you.

Other than that, you have to ask yourself if the extra speed and cool factor is worth the money.
But as I always say, money spent on bike stuff is money well spent.
