My son has a wrinkle fracture on his forearm. His therapist is here and we never thought to ask the doctor if he could go bowling. My son is handicapped and normally picks up the bowl and sets it on the floor and rolls it or sets it on a ramp. Anybody know if it is okay for him to pick up a bowling ball? I say no but my wife and his therapist thought it would be okay.

I was able to get the answer faster than I thought I could. I talked to the doctor's nurse and he should not have more than five pounds weight on his arm.

Those are stable fractures, so much so that they're now treated with splints instead of casts.

Suspect your doc has an office phone... coming from someone in the same field, those types of questions are certainly OK to ask... :)

If it's my kid, I want the word from the person treating him. Or at least their (hopefully) experienced office nurse.

Good to hear you were able to reach them.
