Thought someone on here may be interested. Not mine. May be a bit high.

That sure is sweet, but I dunno about $400. Seems like most of the retro lust is for older models -- basically anything with that sweet old fork crown.

That would have been a great era for mountain bikes save one fatal flaw: chainstay mounted U-brake. Ick.

It was a heavy mudsucker but it had crazy stopping power.

That seems expensive to me. $400 is a good bit of scratch.

I was <> to buying an 85 Stuntjumper Sport off CL yesterday for $185 but someone ended up offering him more than his asking price.

I bought a 1993 stumpjumper for $100 not that long ago. I think $400 is too much, you can find much better deals with very little effort.

Big difference in the two the older 1983 way more desirable

hey guys. Anyone else holding an older stumpjumper ? Looking for about 19" sizing (I am 6') and if it has the older crowned fork (not unicrown) that would be ideal. Beat up is best for me, and frame/fork preferable to a complete build.
Other vintage mtbs in the same vain may interest me too? I plan to turn it into a city bike/touring bike.
I'm in nyc.
