I currently have a Polar 210 that 5 or so years old and I'm looking at getting myself an X-mas present--a new heart monitor. The new Polars--both the watches and the bike computers--seem to have only Windows compatible training software for tracking your workouts.

Does anyone know if Polar has Mac compatible software available? Or if any other reputable manufacturers do?

Thanks! . . .

OS X native software. Works with Garmin and Polar units and frankly is better than the Polar software.

I too had a Polar HRM, hated the thing. Annoying interface.

Got a Garmin 310XT last year and have been loving it. It is much easier to use, and the Mac software works without issue. I haven't tried the non-GPS versions but you might look at http://www.dcrainmaker.com/ for reviews.

I'm using RubiTrack which is Mac-only to track data.

I have one of these and love it. It is cheap and ANT+ compliant. You can get one for about $130 and you can buy a bike cadence and distance device for about $35 that gives you downloadable HR, distance, speed, and cadence graph on garminconnect.com for free.

I use Win 7 but there is a Mac agent. The agent communicates w the FR60 and uploads the data to garminconnect.com. You can also use trainingpeaks.com if you prefer but I am fine w garminconnect. The FR60 is similar to the GPS products but missing the GPS. It is much smaller and easier on the wrist.

Take a look at the following review:

He has some other great reviews as well. He is very detailed oriented and the reviews are great.

PM me w any questions.
