PacTour Ridge of the Rockies tour

This sounds really cool. Like a US version of the Tour des Grandes Alpes or something. Not sure if I could even do all of it - in one stretch, it has 5 back to back centuries with 1000's of feet of climbing each day, plus more centuries and some just under. 18 days straight.

I don't have even the remotest desire to do that kind of daily mileage, but I'd love to do the same route over a month and a half or so, 40-50 miles a day with some days off in nice places like Jackson, Durango, Santa Fe, etc. I've done just a bit of riding in the southern Colorado portion of where that goes (and lived there for a few years) and its just incredibly beautiful.

Lon and Susan are fun. Sag like crazy. Week 3 AZ is more like what Ray is talking about. Most of their other stuff is for monster riders with much more in-the-saddle attention span than me. After 50 miles I want a shower and beer and food.
