Another very unique Bedford off the line

Black with Silver dual stitching Ray HandleBar Wrap goes here :)

Paul's Thumbies will move further inbound towards the stem. Will unviel the project Lite Tourer Monday. Build is mostly Shimano 10 speed 105 drive train and gotta say the cranks look super in SILVER, yes they have a Silver crankset.

I swear, Kelly Bedford gets more plugs on this forum than Serotta! :p :D

BTW, I was just at Kelly's website and saw a chain hanger guard/protector? on one of his frames. Is this a standard feature? on all bikes? or just certain models? I do not recall seeing that design feature on any modern bikes. Unique to Kelly or just old school that I have not seen or maybe not noticed before? Photo #15 is what I am referring to since I did not know what to call it.

Nice, I really like the Paul thumbies. Had a Merlin set up as a flat bar light, fast jitter bug for cruisin' the City. Would have worked with Mustache bars as well.

Nice Smiley. I like the setup and am interested to hear how she likes these after a few miles. As we discussed before, this might work well for my wife as well. Looks like a great project. Now its time to show off that frame as well. ;)

I used mustache bars on my commuter for a few years. Sometimes with STI, but usually with bar-cons. I predict those thumb shifters will prove awkward - they are mounted in a place that will require a lot of wrist contorting, and you won't have a very good grip on the bars while shifting, because the brake levers are going to get in the way. IMO, bar-cons are the way to go, because they are in easy reach of your "regular" mustache hand position.

Edit - I see you are moving them inward - so now the brakes are out of the way, but you still have an odd wrist angle, and even less control due to a narrower grip on the bars...

I hear u load and clear and this was offered up as option #1 but the client decided that she was more comfortable with them in the designated spot. We can always move them to the end plug loactions with their current set up.
