Amusing article about impromptu racing amongst cycling commuters. I laughed when it was also known as Cat 6 racing

http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/12/11/lets-race-if-only-in-our-minds/Racing in the 8th Avenue separated bike lane? Stupid and dangerous. The author ought to be ashamed of himself.

Funny. Who among us can't relate to this?

I passed a guy last summer on an uphill leading to a stop-sign. Said a quick hello as I went past him...came to the stop sign and paused while he pedaled for all he was worth running the sign and getting ahead of me before taking a right at the first side-street.

I'm guessing I lost.
