How well will this combo work? I am converting over to campy but I am loathe to give up my da-srm cranks. Will this combination still work ok? The shape of the da sti levers has finally got to me after pretending I like them. I have ergo levers and tried the setup with the JTEK thingy. That wasn't too successful so I am going to go the whole hog. Luckily I can simply swap freehub bodies on my mavics and hugi 240 hubs to enable campy cog usage.

works great - really. no problems at all.

i have a bike on my site with this set-up, and i've seen larger companies offer the same rig - can't think just who, though.

and it drives the purists nuts...

If Campy would just make an alloy compact I would be tempted to slap that on a DA bike! Of course, my PMP works fine with DA 9 and I would certainly take a DA compact, but my days of grinding a 39X27 over 10%+ grades after 100-150 miles are over! 34X27 is great, and I may yet get a 34X29 for La Ventoux (170km and 3500m vetical) next month, though a CF compact offends my sensibilities more than mixing Campy and Shimano! :crap:
