My wife just had neck surgery last Thursday. She had a titanium plate and six screws installed to fuse her C5,6,and 7 discs. Just wondered if anyone has had something similar or knows somebody who has and can provide me with recovery information. Right now she is still in a lot of pain. I hope it is mainly because of the procedure and not her neck itself. Her doctor did say she will never feel like an 18yr. old again but fully expects her to "feel better." I feel terrible for her as she states it hurts so much she has yet to go without taking her pain medication for any real length of time. I know it has only been a week but we have talked to two people who have had similar procedures and they said they felt better quickly. My wife is not even close to feeling better yet. Poor girl has had 6 surgeries in the last 14 months. (5 on her feet). I just want to know if this seems normal and that there are better days ahead. Thanks, Matthew.
